Happy to present a paper titled “Anxious Landscapes: Correlating the Built Environment with Mental Health through Deep Learning." This research, therefore, addresses these gaps in previous work and contributes knowledge on the use of generative and discriminative DL methods in combination for urban analysis involving mental health. The research specifically targets the prevalence of anxiety because it is responsible for a significant share of the global disease burden discussed previously. These methods can be used and adapted by architects, planners, and urban designers for design workflows involving analysis and generative design tasks. In addition to the methodological contribution, the work also contributes insight on potential correlations between urban design features and anxiety.
